What are Adjuncts?

An adjunct is a word or a group of words, that provides extra information to a sentence. It can be removed from a sentence without making the sentence wrong. The following are some examples.

  • I ate pizza yesterday.

  • I wake up early in the morning.

  • He cleans his room every morning.

  • He goes there often.

  • He meets his friend every evening.

  • She goes to the cafĂ© often.

  • He goes for walk every morning.

  • He sleeps early often.
